After many months of hard work, we want to announce that our most popular theme has gotten a major update. In this update we’ve added a new front-end page-builder, updated the old bootstrap framework to V3, added a lot of new design elements, new demo site and very … very many more things that we hope you’ll like.
New demo site :
In case you’ve missed it, here is a small preview of the new theme:
If you want to know the full changelog, please take a look at this page :
Things to do after updating to v4.0:
Immediately after updating your theme to version 4.0 you will be presented with a screen requiring you to make a data update. This will ensure that all your content and theme options are properly converted to the new page-builder automatically. Please note that this process can take some time.
Updating F.A.Q. :
Q. Can i make the update on my live site?
A. We strongly recommend you perform the update on a clone of your live site. We have made the update system work perfectly with the previous version of the theme, however, if you’ve modified the theme files or added some custom css, some problems may appear. If you run into problems, please contact us from our support forum and we will help you out.
Q. My icons disappeared. How can i get them back ?
A. In some rare cases, the icons can look improperly. In order to resolve this, just go the theme’s options panel and save the options. Also, it may be possible that you will also need to clear the browser cache.September 10, 2015 at 12:10 am #201127corrianwyattParticipantPost count: 168
I had a clean empty site, and just updated to Kallyas V4.0. So far I am impressed. I don’t have any problems yet, and went through just about everything I will be doing with it. Everything is looking great.
I’m assuming the images in the demo vs. dummy data (some are blocked). Is that because of copyright protection? That’s not an issue, just asking. I’m updating and tweaking the site with my data anyway.

I´ve just update the version and now the images have got a shadow, and the subheaders are misplaced; in the previous version they were behind the logo and now appear below. The effect I was looking for, and had gotten what I lost. Can you help me?
On the other hand I would go back to the previous version because I have to deliver this web on the 15th and do not have time to review it whole. How can I do it?
thank you in advanceSeptember 10, 2015 at 7:12 am #201137
I’m planning to update to 4.0 But what does these mean?

My comments are not expressed views of “Hogash”. I’m just an user, who is way over the top with backups, and all comments and opinions are strictly my own.
However, what it means is this.
1. If you have a duplicate of your site, push the update to that first, to see if you have any adverse actions.
2. In my case, I run a particular site that’s completely cloned. It serves two purposes.
1. Testing plugins, widgets, and updates, etc.
2. It also serves as backup to my backup, in the case of an emergency.
3. Especially if you have made customization on your current site.
Let’s see what Hogash administrators say. Have a wonder time designing.September 10, 2015 at 8:03 am #201143
Hello corrianwyatt and Hogash Team,
1. Is cloning of my site means copying of all WP directory and files to another WP domain/subdomain?
2. Will it affect my single license theme?
Thank you!September 10, 2015 at 8:34 am #201150
After reviewing your updates, we have decided to upgrade to 4.0
Please tell us how. Thank you!September 10, 2015 at 9:46 am #201156
I’ll hope i can cover all the questions :
@corrianwyatt : Indeed, the images are pixelated due to copyright.
@Anaguillen : Can you please open a new thread and give us more details about the problems you are encountering ? Regarding the previous version, we’ve made the update to be downgradable. This means that you can safely replace the current version with the previous one. However, there are 5 days to your deadline, maybe we can help you resolve the problems.
@danlizada : The update has some major changes to the theme files ( most importantly the css and js files ). Some authors have added their own custom css and js and that’s why we recommend performing the update on a clone of your live site. A clone can be made using the “Duplicator” plugin ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ ). I myself as a website administrator always make a clone of my websites in order to test new plugins and theme updates so i don’t run into problems with my live sites.
@corrianwyatt : Was there a question ? 🙂
@danlizada : There are no problems with the license. I’ll try to make a new documentation page regarding this version update and add as many details about update as i can.
Please let me know if i left any questions unanswered.

Please advise how to downgrade back to previous versionSeptember 11, 2015 at 10:23 pm #201419taynfisherParticipantPost count: 5
I literally just bought Kallyas version 3.6.10 two days ago…how can I just get the updates. None of the issues I was having with my previous version were fixed (ie: error messages in options, changing colors in alternative header options).September 12, 2015 at 1:19 am #201431softmusParticipantPost count: 13This reply has been marked as private.September 12, 2015 at 9:50 am #201449
@MasterCustom : It is safe to just replace the theme files with the old version.
@taynfisher : Please take a look here on how to update : http://docs.hogash.com/kallyas-wordpress-theme/#document-113
@softmus : Indeed, i can confirm that this is a bug. It will be resolved in the update coming on monday. The error is just a notice and doesn\t affect the theme functionality. If you want to hide it, please disable the WP_DEBUG from wp-config.php file.
I will now close this thread. If anyone has problems, please open a separate thread.
