Hi there, just wanted to follow up on this ticket. ThanksNovember 14, 2012 at 9:35 pm in reply to: Scroll to top issue in Ammon HTML template when using Anything Slider #56629
Just following up on this thread gents. Thank you.October 12, 2012 at 4:55 pm in reply to: Clean Install of Ammon (Joomla) clone gives so many errors. #56217
I am using WAMP 2.2 and I had many error that were showing after a clean install of the Ammon clone. Daniel got back to me and suggested I make these changes to my php.ini fileSearch your php.ini and modify directives from this file as follow:
2. http://prntscr.com/h9sksI made the changes to my php.ini file for the php version I am using and didn’t see a difference after restarting all of WAMP services.I kept looking and to my surprise Apache also has a php.ini file. Once I synced the changes in both php and apache the errors werent’ displaying. Thanks for your help Daniel.
Since the curl file couldn’t initiate for me in wamp 2.2 I downloaded a new version and replaced the curl file. Re activated the curl extension and restarted all services. This worked.
Hi there can you share how you fixed this issue with the rest of us by chance. Thanks
Hey Mike, If I recall correctly this is actually a module for every section that displays the area you are talking about. Go to your module manager and filter by position “slideshow”. In my install every one of those sections is marked as Header-Title. So just do a browser search for your title “Blog-The Gossip” or just “The Gossip” and you should find the modue and just hide it as needed.Hope this helps.
Maybe a screenshot of the issue may help. Just a thought.
Hello i am a user however I think the form that you reference is actually part of the Joomla core login/register component. There are components out there like extregister that can help you add additional fields to your forms. I am not affiliated with this dev just trying to help and point in the right direction. Hope it helpsadditionally you can just do a search on google for adding fields to registration form in Joomla and quite a few alternatives will show. Here is a good tutorial: http://manchumahara.com/2010/03/18/how-to-add-extra-fields-in-joomla-registration/
please find info in privae message thanks
Hi Marius thanks once again for the outstanding support and willingness to go above and beyond. I have tried the link you gave me above and am afraid that it throws an invalid token error. i also found that post unfortunately didn’t seem to work. I figured since for the ammon template there is a com_user inside the templates/ammon/html folder there would be a different than default link for that. Also if a user puts the standard joomla login or registration link into the browser they go to the standard joomla login and registration and not the one you have created for ammon. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? If so how, and what are the links that should be used to redirect user to your custom login and registration pages.thanks
hey Marius, In the above there is a login redirect and a logout redirect. What link should be used with your com_user module for logging out. I would like to add as a menu item for logged in users so they can log out and be redirected to the page identified in login menu link. Thanks
UPDATE:Since the JFBconnect component already pulls the all.js script I decided on a hunch just to comment out the call to this script in the /modules/mod-socialammon/mod_socialammon.php file. There are two places in the file that call the all.js Roughly around line 95 and line 105.I haven’t done extensive testing as of yet but initial testing shows both modules now working in harmony. Facebook login and ammon social share
Hi Marius, I have disabled the ammon social module for the time being. This is why you were able to sign in, and as for the login/register page this is a feature of the JFBConnect component that allows users to set the username and password they like for your joomla site vs. using your fb credentials by default. Then the fb and local credentials are synced for user.I do beleive the all.js calls in the ammon social module is what causes the discrepency, but I am not sure if I remove the call if they will still work.JFBComonent has all of the features of ammon social component with one exception. The comment box can’t be launched by a nicely styled button as it does in ammon social module. May be something I have to live without. Thanks for taking a look I will see if I can figure it out from here. But as for the issue if anyone else is trying to use joomla login integration this will become an issue. The issue is that the facebook api call is being called multiple times and it should be called only once.To determine look at source code for your site and search for all.js and fb.init and each should appear just once. If you have more instances then there is an issue. Hope this helps others.
Looks like I accidentally posted this in wordpress thread but it really is Ammon for Joomla thread. Thanks
