having a page with a sidebar makes trouble. The pagebuilder elements start at the sidebars bottom and are not left or right next to the sidebar.February 27, 2013 at 10:06 pm #58599DanielSpectatorPost count: 5777
You can use content editor and shortcodes for that and page builder only for header zone.February 27, 2013 at 10:13 pm #58601
I am afraid I cannot follow. What I wanted was Pagebuilder elements left and sidebar right. Means I I have to add everything as short code left? Means there is a short code for every page builder element?February 28, 2013 at 12:31 am #58608DanielSpectatorPost count: 5777
Shortcodes are working in most of page builder elements. As I talk with Stefan (this was one of my questions during testing the theme), there is not possible to have on same div level page builder elements below header zone and a sidebar (left or right). WordPress programming issues. What I said is to use the part of content editor (w/wo shortcodes) to have sidebar and content on same “level”.If you use the page builder elements down to header zone (action box area, main content area etc.) all of that elements will “drop” under the end (bottom) of sidebar and cannot be on the left or right of the sidebar.February 28, 2013 at 9:13 am #58645
I understand. To sad I cannot combine horizontal page builder elements with vertical menu from the sidebar 🙁 And it seems I cannot paste the page builder elements with shortcodes into the page area to achieve this.February 28, 2013 at 2:10 pm #58668
Please allow another question here. Using firebug it is no problem to move the pagebuilder div container right into the div class=”span9 zn_content” at the botton on any page with sidebar. This approach works.
I am not a programmer – just wanted to make sure it is “WordPress programming issues.” and really cant be changed.
Have a great day

Hi,I am developer of this theme. There was a little confusion. The problem for the combination of a sidebar and page builder elements came from the fact that some elements required full width ( no sidebar ). Knowing this, i have decided to not allow this so that people won;t get confused when they see that these elements are breaking their layout on pages with sidebar. As an alternative, i will try to add a pagebuilder element that will contain a desired sidebar selectable from it’s options.Best regards,Stefan
