I’ve actually diecided to stick with Joomla, as I’ve read that WP needs lots of plugins and it might be time consuming to pick the right ones, and that they affect the WP script not in a good way..
So I’ve rebuilt the whole main menu so far, and the main page section (don’t know what it’s really called) and was wondering the following: – in the last versions of EKHO it was impossible to change the language for “Minimize/Maximize” button. Now there is also the “Go to top” button and it’s also only in English.
This makes the company look not very quality-obligated in the eyes of some customers. It’s like we wouldn’t care or that we let such mistake slip through… I’ve already mentioned it to Daniel, he told me something like for that some classes would need to be built. But hey, you’re selling a multilingual template (or a template, suitable for Joomla’s multilinguality) and those buttons are not multilingual. Is there a way you could make a small update for this in the near future? I understand, that to change the language, we would need to change the actual words in the code, that it would not be possible from the Joomla’s backend. But it’s okay with me, as long as there are several classes for like 3-7 languages and a short documentation on how to put the needed translation in the button’s tooltip.
Cheers! Andreas
January 3, 2016 at 5:38 pm #224139Hi,
sorry but i don’t understand. in your website where you have problems with multilanguage? can you send me an image to see where, exactly?
Or do you mean in default ekho theme ?
thank youJanuary 3, 2016 at 6:54 pm #224141I mean only the buttons “Minimize/Maximize” and “Go to top” – they have always been in English and are not controlled by Joomla’s multilanguage settings.
How can I send you a screenshot? Somehow I can’t find an upload function here..
Also, I’ve noticed, the Superfish Menu that comes with EKHO is not updated for J3 – it says for J 2.5 – is it okay? Or might it cause any problems in the future? I’ve tried to download a newer version, but they want me to tweet about them or something and I don’t have a twitter account.
January 3, 2016 at 8:35 pm #224145That Superfish Menu for Joomla 2.5 looks very strange in Joomla 3. Instead of usual settings labeling, there are the corresponding code names like
MOD_MENU_FIELD_MENUTYPE_LABEL
MOD_JT_SLIDE_FIELD_JQUERYVER_LABEL
…â did you know that?
January 3, 2016 at 9:05 pm #224146I also can not find PrettyPhoto (openimage). Btw, it also doesn’t work on your demo site. The only module I see in the folder for separate installation is mod_prettyphoto_autopop, but after installation I can not find any module with the word “photo”. Just this Autopop. But I don’t need anything automatically popping up.
So how can I build this lightbox feature in like on EKHO demo website: FEATURES > Module positions > MODULES MAP > HOMEPAGE?
I couldn’t find any easy way to make images open up in a lightbox on mouseclick. I’ve downloaded PrettyPhoto Lightbox from their website, but it can not be installed as an extension. I assume, you must do some more work with the code to get it to work… and I’m not a web developer.
January 4, 2016 at 2:24 am #224155MOD_MENU_FIELD_MENUTYPE_LABEL
MOD_JT_SLIDE_FIELD_JQUERYVER_LABEL-
is because is missing your language file. You can drop in your language file (if you installed another version)
-
our modules are compatibilly with J3+ and you can use them even are named J 2.5
-
for image , you can use lightbox or any image with link and paste here link to that image.
-
for prettyphoto is not an issue in our demo, we made some changes and we add wrong path to image folder
-
for prettyphoto you need to add:
[thumb_link width=”450″ src=”./images/modules_positions_homepage.jpg”]
You can install quickinstall demo and you can see there in every page how is added , it’s simple if you have installed.
January 4, 2016 at 2:58 am #224156Thx for quick reply!
However, I didn’t understand some points:
“is because is missing your language file. You can drop in your language file (if you installed another version)”
â I have 3 languages installed, when I’ve installed J3. The backend is in English GB.
Which language file should I drop in? Does this plugin need american english or something?“for image , you can use lightbox or any image with link and paste here link to that image.”
â sorry, don’t understand either… I never use the URL’s, if that’s what you mean. I just need a photo in the article to enlarge onclick.. is that lightbox or prettyphoto functionality?“for prettyphoto you need to add:
[thumb_link width=â450â³ src=â./images/modules_positions_homepage.jpgâ]”
â I did that, with a link to the photo in folder “/images” – nothing happened. You know, it’s all those small problems with the template and not extensive enough documentation, which build up a huge frustration! I’ve been using this template for 3 years and I am still intimidated and frustrated by the lack of response to the features, that you’d expec to work right away. I am so close to abandon the template! Wasted so much time in order to just understand how things work there. Again, because the documentation was not extensive enough for me.
You’ve made it responsible – that was one major reason I decided to stick with EKHO and spent 2 days building our website again in J3 from scratch. Now, when I see that some sliders or color pickers in Template Styles just don’t work (I’ve made a separate post for this issue), or how the tabs behave when you squeeze the browser window â jump below each other and not like in this template – staying in line with adding a scroll bar:
http://anpsthemes.com/construction-html/tabs.html
or when I see how the logo and the closed up menu (for mobile devices) and the language menu are jumping wildly around when scaling the browser’s window’s, then I ask myself â is this template really worth my time?
You can also look at the link above and see how they realised the menu’s behaviour on scaling. I mean, you did it good with vertical menu, but what about the full-animated vertical? What happens with the logo in the demo when scaling?<br />
Maybe there are much cleaner, thought through, made easy for any customer templates with extensive documentation and easier CMS? (I am also VERY dissapointed in Joomla 3’s usability and its content structure compared to J 2.5).January 4, 2016 at 3:00 am #224157Thx for quick reply!

January 4, 2016 at 2:03 pm #224254- you need to drop in all languages folders, if you have 3lang, you have to add in all3.
Can you send me link and super admin to check?

https://www.diigo.com/item/image/5ij47/qy4kDid you installed Simple image gallery – http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/photos-a-images/photo-gallery/1468
Did you installed mod_prettyphoto_autopop.zip ?
January 4, 2016 at 2:04 pm #224256mod_jt_superfish_menu.zip
all from our pack?
January 4, 2016 at 4:24 pm #224307Hi,
sorry, still don’t understand the sentence:
“you need to drop in all languages folders, if you have 3lang, you have to add in all3.”â do I need to drop THE 3 language folders somewhere inside?
â or do I need to drop SOMETHING else into those 3 language folders that you mean?
I have three different superfish menus:
Main menu Ru superfish
Main menu De superfish
Main menu En superfishThe screenshots of the template settings you’ve sent me have the same settings enabled/disabled like I have. (but I have Facebook deactivated). Still can not move any slider or change values in Template styles.
I’ve installed mod_prettyphoto_autopop.zip – but it’s more like functionality for autopop – I coulnd’t figure out how it should enlarge a simple photo onclick.. also why is there “prettyphoto” in the name of the .zip, when after the installation the module is called “AutoPop Lightbox Module”?
When a usual person starts to search for “prettyphoto” or “photo” in extensions or modules, will not find anything installed by that name, because the module is called “AutoPop Lightbox Module”. Only on second try, when you search for “autopop”, you will find it.I have simple gallery installed, but had it deactivated.
“mod_jt_superfish_menu.zip
all from our pack?”
â yes, I’ve installed it from the folder standalone>modulesI have also forgotten to tell you about the resposiveness issue with photos inside tables. Sure, you’ve made a good change so that normal photos in the text go responsive with the window size, but what about the photos, when put inside a table? they need also to be responsive.
Right now I work on localhost, will upload then the site for you. Could be today, could be next week, as I have this week only 75-125KBit/s upload rate.
January 4, 2016 at 5:47 pm #224317I will response for that menu issue( from what i understand )
– go to language\en-GB here you have en-GB.mod_jt_superfish_menu.ini yes?this file copy to other languages (from language\en-GB to language\de_DE if you have dutch language, ro_RO folder if you have romanian language, etc)
for en-GB
en-GB.mod_jt_superfish_menu.inifor de-DE
de-DE.mod_jt_superfish_menu.inietc
But i need to see exactly this in your admin,
Please tell me when in online to check there all .
